Our Story
Mila Gillaspy (B.H.S & Licensed Esthetician)
Mila is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Health Sciences. She is also a graduate from Elise Esthetics Institute as a Licensed Facial Specialist.
Mila’s love for the beauty industry began at a young age watching her mom do her own makeup and always tagging along with her when she would go buy what seemed like a never ending supply of it. Soon after, Mila began experimenting with makeup herself and thats where her love for everything eyebrows, skin, and eyelashes began. Throughout middle and high school, Mila began to learn about new products, techniques, and how to accentuate different parts of the face. Not long after, her passion for a career in the beauty industry was found.
Afraid of going off the path her parents saw for her, Mila attended UCF where she later graduated. During her time there, she realized more and more that her parent’s dream for her just didn’t feel like her own. Shortly after graduation and fulfilling the promise she made to her parents, she decided to pursue the promise to herself and enroll in an esthetics program.
Terrified of doing something this big alone, Mila and Kiara turned to each other and realized that one of the biggest things they always bonded over was beauty & skincare and ultimately they both decided to enroll. Shortly after graduation, Luana Esthetics was born.
Kiara Rodriguez (Licensed Esthetician)
Kiara was attending Valencia College when she met Mila at work in 2019. They bonded off of their similar taste in music, hobbies, interests, and career aspirations. Kiara always saw herself in the medical field one day and was striving toward her goal. Shortly after her start at the University of Central Florida, the world went through a pandemic. During this time, and the extended amount of time sitting at home in front of a computer screen, Kiara decided that medicine just didn’t feel like her passion anymore. She wanted to do something more towards her interests and hobbies, and one day she decided to voice this out loud.
Terrified of what others would think and more importantly her parents, Kiara confided in Mila. An idea sparked and a dream started to feel like a reality. Kiara knew if she didn’t pursue her passion for beauty and skin care, that she would pursue her other passion in cooking and open a restaurant. After a lot of thought, consideration, and hesitation, Kiara decided to take the leap and Luana Esthetics was born.
